Description:	James Burton told me they were putting a band together for Elvis Presley. I had never been a big Presley fan. Given my musical background, I thought he was a white singer trying to sound black. So I decided that I was going to play the audition on a lark, but that I probably wouldnt take the job. It took about five minutes after meeting him to realize what a great guy and wonderful singer he was.
